About Me

Hello, I’m Dean.

I love Jesus, I love my wife, and I love my family.  I have been married to Berniece for 42 years.  We are empty nesters.  Our two children live away from home.  We also have one grandchild.  My relationship with God through Christ is my foundation and the most important part of my life.

Berniece and I live in Longmont, a town located in an area of Colorado called the front range.  We attend a local Church where I teach Sunday School.  I also help lead an independent Bible Study for people with learning differences.  Occasionally, I speak at other Christian venues.

I have taught Sunday School for around 40 years.  In 2020, when Covid made meeting together difficult, the Lord moved me to begin writing devotionals for our congregation.  Before long, other people started to read them.  That led to the creation of this website which, Lord willing, will continue to make my writings available to more readers.

Some of my other passions include fly fishing and birding.  As a result, I often share pieces of those and other adventures in my devotionals.
